I had conceived the idea before I found the subject matter. I was looking for a subject where the still waters would surround a silhouette tree, leaf or grass and I would be able to manipulate the gradation of the black and white print so that reality and reflection merged into one. The clouds were just a bonus in that they give a dreamy look to parts of the water... not realizing they are cloud reflections at all.
