This Image was shot in the late summer behind Jackson Lake Lodge in the Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming. I knew I wanted to capture the "big sky" feeling of the Tetons and, at the same time, capture the majesty of the mountain range. I observed this spot at sunrise, mid-afternoon and sunset and waited three days for all the right elements to appear. The sky had to have strong graphic-like clouds, the lake had to be still enough so that the reflections could be caught, and the sun had to be bright enough so that it would shine between the clouds and produce contrast between the brilliant greens of the grasses and the shadows behind the clouds.
